What is BrainCast?
BrainCast is a free message and memo service that allows you to record reminders for yourself on the go, and automatically delivers them to your PC at home for later use. There is also an online organizational system for storing your messages so you can access them from anywhere. Why would I use BrainCast?
BrainCast is intended to be used as a service to help store and organize audio notes from anywhere. Anytime you think of something where you don't have a simple method of writing something down or making a note of it, like at the store, or in the car, or out at night, is an optimal time to use the service. How does it work?

How do I listen to my message?

What is a label?
A label is a tag you can create that allows you to group and sort your recordings. [return to top]
Why would I label a message?
The ability to label messages makes it easier for you to associate them with various parts of your life, such as work, family, sports etc., making them easier to find and recall at a later date. [return to top]
How do I use labeling?
To use labeling, create a label on the lefthand side of your main BrainCast interface. To apply a label, select the checkbox next to the message, choose the label at the top that you would like to associate it with, and apply it. To remove a label from a message, follow the same process. Multiple labels can be applied to the same message. [return to top]
How do I rename a message?
To rename a message, simply click on the name of the message, type the new name in, and submit it. [return to top]
How do I add notes to a message?
To add a note to a message, click on the word 'notes' next to your message. A box will appear allowing you to add notes to it. Messages with notes attached are indicated by the word 'notes' being in blue. [return to top]
How can I send a message to someone?
To send a message to someone, click on the word 'send' next to the message, enter their email address, and submit. This will send an email to the address with the message attached as a .wav file. [return to top]
What is a RSS feed used for?
A feed is a regularly updated summary of web content, along with links to full versions of that content, in this case a wav file. When you subscribe to a given website's feed by using a feed reader, you'll receive a summary of new content from that website when it becomes available. [return to top]
Why shouldn't I share my RSS feed link?
Your RSS feed is generated specifically for your account using something called a token. This allows news readers to access the feed without requiring authentication(other then the token itself). If, at anytime, you feel your link may have been shared with someone, just go to preferences and click remove feed. Then click create and it will generate a new token and link to use. [return to top]
What is a reminder used for?
A reminder is used to tell BrainCast to call you on the date/time you specify and play back the message you recorded. Just put in the phone number you want BrainCast to send the reminder to, and thats it! [return to top]
